FAQs
-
Direct Primary Care is a healthcare model where you pay a flat reasonable monthly fee directly to your provider for comprehensive, personalized primary care services. It removes the need for insurance billing, allowing for longer appointments, better access to care, and a stronger provider-patient relationship as we care directly for you, the patient.
-
Anyone is welcome to join! Whether you are an individual, part of a family, self-employed, with or without insurance, our membership model is designed to provide accessible and quality care for all.
-
Our monthly membership fee gives you consistent, affordable access to your primary care provider, with no surprise costs. It allows us to focus on you as the patient with better holistic care, faster communication, and a more personal healthcare experience. This fee covers a wide variety of routine health services, while allowing us to negotiate lower prices for other services you may need, such as lab work, imaging, and more.
-
Absolutely! Even if you are healthy, a Direct Primary Care membership gives you the assurance of same or next day appointments within business hours, acute/urgent care visits when available, access to preventative care, wellness checks, and quality care for chronic conditions and unexpected health issues that may arise. You can be confident to know that you will have a provider available to take care of you whenever the need arises and in a timely manner.
-
Yes - our membership is a minimum of 3 months. You can cancel at any time with a 30 day notice. We believe you will continue with a membership at Flourish for the care you receive, not just a contract.
-
No - Direct Primary Care is not insurance. It is a way to access your primary care provider and get quality primary care services directly for a consistent and reasonable monthly fee. We recommend having a high deductible insurance plan or health sharing plan to cover emergencies and specialist care if that is a concern of yours.
-
We DO NOT accept insurance. This allows us to keep service pricing transparent and affordable. You can choose to still use your insurance for hospital visits, medical specialists, lab work, imaging, or medications. We can however provide you with discounted rates on these services through negotiating prices with local vendors, so some patients prefer not to bill their insurance and use the available self pay options and discounts.
-
Membership and care availability coming soon. Keep updated on our website for availability to book appointments if you are a Medicare patient.
-
Medicaid patients can still be seen for the standard monthly fee cost for memberships, urgent care visits for non members for a cash fee, and other additional wellness care options.
-
If you require medical care after normal office hours, you have the ability with your membership to contact your provider via phone, email, text, or a virtual visit. If it is determined you need to be seen by a provider, we can help you find a provider to see while away from home.
-
We will refer you to a specialist to meet your specific needs, taking your financial concerns into account. You can choose to use your insurance for specialist care.
